It's been a tough few weeks around here. Due to mastitis and early labor we've lost Lily's litter. We're thinking at this point a genetic predisposition to their milk coming in too early caused the fatal infection in Daisy and nearly took Lily. Lily had an emergency c-section April 25th and a mastectomy, she had "no blood pressure" for surgery and was at deaths door for a few days. Lily had reconstruction surgery on May 02, she's home with us now and sees the vet regularly.

It's such an unexpected horror we're having extensive tissue testing done to see if there's a reason other than their milk coming in too early. After such a great loss, I think you'll understand the return of your full deposits and we'll most likely never breed any of our line again.

We're indebted to the talent and caring received from Detricks Veterinary Hospital. Needless to say we were seen literally at a moments notice several times.

We took great pride in producing beagles with superior temperaments and sharing them with other families, but we can't risk our own beloved beagles.

Our beloved Daisy passed away at 6:30 PM on April 11th 2007. Unfortunately we couldn't save the babies. She had a blood clot complication from mastitis and went quickly, lying in the evening sunshine through the living room window. Daisy never complained or made a fuss in her life, even through the end. She was happy here with her daughters Lily and Belle and grand daughter Dancer. Two days before she was wagging her tail in big swoops. We miss her terribly.

Our beagles were carefully chosen for their true beagle heritage. The intelligence and instincts of a pack animal, the health and body of a hunter. With a very merry hound attitude. Their pedigrees are filled with Hunting and Field Champions. Established in 1999, our beagles are an important part of our family. All are AKC registered 13 & 15 inch.

Due to their merry nature and desire to explore, all beagle owners should be on a leash. Beagles should not be allowed to roam free. Their instincts and their noses will have them chasing off after a scent unless securely fenced or leashed. Beagles are fantastic travelers, explorers and eager playmates. Loyal, Loving and Family oriented. Excellent companions they will be both a lap dog and safety alarm. They will fiercely bark to alert the family of any dangers. Positive reinforcement training works extremely well with these highly food motivated hounds.

This breed has a long healthy history of earning it's keep with families and other dogs. Beagles are all dog in a small low maintenance package. Smart enough to work in numbers hunting through fields and hill sides. Working as a group, making their prey run in front of the hunter for efficiency. Beagles were kept by English royalty, for companionship and entertainment. The breed was preserved by English farmers. In 1876 beagles came to America, and were approved by AKC in September 10, 1957
