Daisy was born a working dog, from a line known for it’s speed retrieval. She was bred on a cattle ranch in Missouri, where she was trained retrieving Cattle horns, and had never left the ranch. We were delighted to find her. Daisy's breeder sold her because he was only keeping males from that generation. She melted our hearts with her sweet eyes and her quiet charm. Daisy came a long way from that farm in Missouri, she was very shy to new people at first. Though she has not achieved the level of training Penny enjoyed, we are very proud of her socialization, she has blossomed nicely. We get allot of different people here with their dogs, Daisy loves all of them. She is also very trust worthy in the house, and an excellent mother.
Daisy is what I call true beagle heritage. Healthy dogs bred to excel in the real working duties of their breed. Daisy’s good looks and great temperament set her apart.
Our beloved Daisy passed away at 6:30 PM on April 11th 2007. She had a blood clot complication from mastitis and went quickly, lying in the evening sunshine through the living room window. Daisy never complained or made a fuss in her life, even through the end. She was happy here with her daughters Lily and Belle and grand daughter Dancer. Two days before she was wagging her tail in big swoops. We miss her terribly.
